Ministries with Adults

Bible Study is an important part of our ministry at Friedens. Pastor Williams leads Bible Study every Thursday morning at 9:30 am. We have lively discussions on the scripture readings for the upcoming Sunday worship.

An Adult Sunday School class takes place during the Sunday School hour beginning at 9 am. Often, this group will use curriculum as a starting point for discussion on real to life topics. This group is led by Vicar Laila Sunday.

Grief Support meets weekly on Monday at noon in our fellowship hall. This group meets to share a meal and support one another in their grief. All who are grieving in any way are welcome to come and find support through this important ministry. Just before Christmas, Grief Support hosts a Longest Night service to provide a safe space for those grieving at the holiday season.

Friedens Friends is a group of (mostly) retired folks who gather to share a meal, fellowship, and some sort of activity on the first Tuesday of the month at 11:30 am. This group always has a good time and good food, too! Kina Boyer tends to this group.

We are also host to outside groups, including Blue Mountain Seniors who meet on the third Tuesday of every month at noon, and Shartlesville Connection, founded by a Girl Scout Troop to retain relationships to this community.
