Property

Friedens is located on a hill overlooking the village of Shartlesville, at the base of the Blue Mountain. Our original building was built in 1870, with a fellowship hall on the first floor and the sanctuary on the second floor. We worship on Sunday mornings in this beautiful historic space.

Our Christian education building was built in 2007 and boasts modern office space, a large space for community events, kitchen, Sunday school classrooms, and an elevator, which provides accessibility to the sanctuary via a bridge. Plenty of parking is also available.
Our cemetery is located just behind the buildings and is well tended by members of our community. If you have questions about how to locate a plot or are interested in buying a plot, please contact the office.

Friedens’ land extends behind the cemetery to our outdoor chapel, which was dedicated in 2009. In the summertime, we use this space for worship every Saturday night, weather permitting, and on select Sunday mornings. In this area, there are also peaceful flower gardens and a picnic area under a grove of trees. There is a meditation trail, leading through the woods along Wolf Creek. This area is home to a variety of wildlife and is a popular spot for our neighbors to walk in.
